If you’re concerned about your mental health, you should speak to your doctor. They can assess you and suggest appropriate treatment. Your doctor may suggest a mental health treatment plan. This plan provides you with up to 20 sessions with a mental health professional per calendar year. These sessions are covered by Medicare.

Find out more about mental health care and Medicare on the Services Australia website.
