Your rights and entitlements when losing a job

You have rights when your employment ends. These include:

  • superannuation
  • getting notice
  • getting final pay
  • protection from unfair or unlawful dismissal.

If you think your rights have not been met, you’ll need reach out to the Fair Work Ombudsman as soon as possible. This is because there are time limits related to how the Ombudsman may help you with some things.
