Link Child Support
Before you link Child Support to your myGov account
You must be a Child Support customer to link Child Support to your myGov account.
You’ll need your Child Support Reference Number (CSRN) and have either:
- a linking code given to you by a Child Support staff member
- access to your mobile phone number or email address registered by Child Support to get a one-time passcode.
You’ll also need an identity document such as:
- your Australian birth certificate
- a current Australian driver licence
- visa details.
You’ll need to answer some questions specific to you, for example your Child Support payment history or bank account details registered with us.
How to link Child Support to your myGov account
Follow these steps to link your Child Support online account to myGov:
- Sign in to myGov.
- Select View and link services.
- Select Link on the Child Support tile.
- Follow the prompts to link Child Support using your CSRN or linking code.

What you can do when you link
When you link Child Support to your myGov account you can:
- check when your payments are due
- check how much you’ll get
- check how much you owe
- view past payments
- update your personal and contact details
- update your bank details and income estimate.

If you can’t link a service to your myGov account, contact the service for help.
