Payments for families

Depending on your family’s circumstances, you may be eligible for support from Services Australia.

Payments for carers or people with disability

You may be eligible for payments if you’re a carer or have disability or an illness. Some of these links will take you away from myGov. 

Payments for people looking for work

If you’re not currently working, you may be eligible for a Centrelink payment.

Payments for people who are studying

If you’re studying or doing an apprenticeship, you may get a Centrelink payment.

Payments for people who are retired

If you’re planning on retiring or have retired, you may get a Centrelink payment. 

Other payments and services

  • Income support payment

    Find out about other payments that can help you with living costs on the Services Australia website.
  • Advance payment

    If you get a Services Australia payment, you can sometimes apply to get part of your payment early.
  • Centrepay

    A free and voluntary service to pay bills and expenses as regular deductions from your Centrelink payments.
  • Low Income Health Care Card

    A concession card to get cheaper health care and some discounts if you’re on a low income.
  • Rent Deduction Scheme

    A service you can use to pay your public housing rent straight from your Centrelink payments.
