Students and apprentices

Help from Centrelink

If you’re studying or doing an apprenticeship, you may get a:

  • Centrelink payment and use the Income Bank to keep more of your payment when you work
  • Low Income Health Care Card to get cheaper health care and other benefits.

  • an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
  • a migrant, visitor or refugee
  • from a rural, regional or remote area
  • living with disability, illness or injury
  • a LGBTIQ+ student
  • a parent.
