There are payments to help you get on your feet if you’ve experienced family and domestic violence.

What payments you can get

You may get a payment from Services Australia or a community organisation.

Crisis Payment
A payment if you’ve experienced an extreme circumstance and are in severe financial hardship.
Escaping Violence Payment
A payment if you’ve experienced partner violence, have left and have financial stress.
Safer in the Home
Live safely in the home you choose. They’ll organise a case worker, or your service can refer you.
Domestic violence financial assistance
Support for people on temporary visas who are experiencing domestic and family violence.

No Interest Loans

You may be able to get a No Interest Loan (NIL) from Good Shepherd to help you with costs.

NILs let you borrow money for essential goods and services, like car repairs, white goods or a rental bond. You pay no interest and you only repay what you borrow.
